I’m on a mission to take my Shopify dropshipping store from $0 to over $10,000 in just 10 days—without spending any money upfront! In this challenge, I’ll be documenting every step of the process, from finding the perfect products to building the store and launching my advertising strategy. If you want to see exactly how I do it, stick around until the end.
Day 1: Finding the Right Products
The first thing I need to do on Day 1 is find a product that I can sell with a high demand and good profit margin. After browsing through the USA Dropshipping supplier section, I came across a winning product: a LED portable makeup box. It solves a significant problem for makeup users by allowing them to do their makeup anywhere, on the go.
The best part? This product only costs $19.87 from USA Dropshipping, and I can sell it for $49.99, which means a substantial profit margin.
In addition to this product, I’ll also be adding a few upsell items related to makeup and beauty. These products include:
- Self-cleaning hairbrush
- Eyebrow stamp stencil kit
- Heated eyelash curler
- Mini eyebrow trimmer
My plan is to offer these items as upsells when customers purchase the LED makeup box, encouraging them to buy multiple products and increase the total order value.
Day 2: Building the Shopify Store
With my products selected, it’s time to build my Shopify store. Fortunately, I have access to a 3-month free Shopify trial, which you can also get by using the link in the description below.
Here’s a quick overview of my store setup:
- Product Pages: Each product has a detailed page with high-quality images, product benefits, and customer reviews. I also added GIFs to showcase how the LED makeup box works, making it more engaging for potential customers.
- Cart Page: Using the Shopify app UpCart, I added a free shipping bar that encourages customers to spend a little more to qualify for free shipping. I also added an upsell feature to increase average order value.
- Post-Purchase Upsell: Using the AfterSale app, I created a post-purchase upsell page that suggests additional products after a customer has bought the LED makeup box.
With my store set up and looking professional, the next step is to focus on driving traffic and making sales.
Day 3: Preparing for Advertising
Now that my store is ready, I need to focus on advertising. I’ll be using several platforms to drive traffic:
- TikTok: TikTok’s algorithm allows for quick virality, so I’m planning to create engaging videos around my products. I’ll be testing different types of content, including product demonstrations and customer testimonials, to see what resonates best with my audience.
- Instagram Reels: Instagram is another great platform for short-form video content. I’ll leverage its Reels feature to showcase the LED makeup box and other products.
- Pinterest: Pinterest’s algorithm is straightforward, and it’s an ideal platform for product promotion. I’ll create visually appealing pins and link them back to my Shopify store.
By combining TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Pinterest, I’m confident I can drive enough traffic to my store to meet my $10,000 goal.
Mentorship Opportunity
As I embark on this challenge, I also want to share that I’ve recently opened up a Dropshipping Mentorship Program, where I teach aspiring entrepreneurs exactly how to build successful dropshipping stores like the one I’m creating now. One of my students even made over $10,000 in his first month! If you’re interested in learning how to do the same, feel free to apply through the link in the description.
Conclusion
So far, I’ve set up the store, chosen the products, and prepared my advertising strategy. The next few days will be all about driving traffic, optimizing my ads, and tracking the results to ensure I reach my $10,000 goal within the 10-day challenge. Stay tuned for more updates as I continue to build this store from scratch!
