In this video, I’m on a mission to prove that dropshipping is still alive and can be done with minimal investment. My goal is to scale a Shopify dropshipping store to over $110,000 in 7 days, starting with just $100. I’ll share the process from start to finish, so you can see how you can do the same.
Day 1: Product Research & Store Setup
The first day is crucial because finding the right product is key to success. A great product will drive sales, while a poor product could derail your entire challenge. After testing various strategies, here’s the approach I’m taking:
Finding the Perfect Product
To discover viral products, I’m using a method I call the TikTok Burner Method:
- Create a New TikTok Account: I set up a fresh account so the algorithm doesn’t know my interests.
- Engage with Content: I search for terms like “Amazon Finds,” “TikTok Made Me Buy It,” and “Dropshipping Exposed.” By liking, sharing, and commenting on these videos, TikTok starts feeding me more of the same content.
- Scroll & Observe: After engaging for a while, my For You page is flooded with viral products, which makes it easier to spot potential winning items.
Earlier today, I found a heated eyelash curler, which solves a common problem (curling lashes) and has a great market potential, especially since 80% of dropshipping consumers are female. I’ve seen similar products do well in the past, so I decided this would be a great product to sell.
Setting Up the Store with AI Tools
Once I had my product, I needed to quickly set up my Shopify store. Thankfully, I’m using Autods, a free AI-powered store builder that speeds up the process. Here’s the setup:
- AI-Generated Shopify Store: With Autods, I created a fully-loaded Shopify store within minutes. The AI store builder automatically includes:
- Pre-built custom products.
- A sleek theme.
- A simple logo.
- Customizing the Store: Though the AI store builder does most of the work, I’ll tweak a few things to ensure the store reflects my branding and vision.
Adding the Product to the Store
I decided to sell the heated eyelash curler at $39.99 (a common price point for similar products). After checking prices on Autods, I found the same product for under $15, which gives me a decent profit margin.
- Autods Marketplace: I used the Autods marketplace to browse winning products and add the heated eyelash curler directly to my Shopify store. Autods shows detailed product analytics like:
- Price comparison.
- Target audience.
- Ad examples (great for inspiration).
Once the product is added, Autods handles the order fulfillment process automatically, so I don’t have to worry about shipping or inventory management.
The Result
Now my store is live, looking clean and professional. Thanks to the high-quality images provided by Autods, my store is already optimized for conversion. All that’s left is to market the store and drive traffic.
Next Steps for the Challenge
- Marketing: I’ll focus on leveraging TikTok ads to promote the store and product, using engaging video content to drive traffic.
- Scaling: As the sales come in, I’ll reinvest profits into advertising, expand the product range, and optimize the store for better performance.
Stay tuned for the next update where I’ll share how the store performs and what strategies I’m using to hit that $110,000 goal!
Conclusion: If you’re looking to start a dropshipping store with minimal upfront investment, this challenge shows that it’s possible with the right approach, tools, and product selection. Keep following along as I show how I scale this store from zero to over $10,000!
